In RE this term we have been looking at religious leaders and inspirational people.
For the last 2 weeks we have been researching modern day leaders and creating a presentation about one of them.

It’s been very exciting in class 9 this week as our tadpoles have finally turned into frogs ready to be released into the wild.
We have loved watching the metamorphosis from frog spawn to froglets.

Class 9 have enjoyed making sculptures inspired by Giacometti using modroc and a wire frame.

Today we showed off our language skills by translating a passage in French about hobbies and preferences into English.
We surprised ourselves with how much French we can actually understand now!

Today we looked at the story of Exodus and how Moses lead the Hebrew people from slavery and in to the desert.
We talked about what made him an inspirational leader and how the Jews felt during this time.

Year 3 (Class 9) Commando Joe's - The Valley of Kings
Today we visited the Valley of the kings as Nellie Bly did on her adventure around the world in 80 days.
We had to use the hieroglyphics to crack the code in order to find safe passage through the tomb to the ancient Egyptian treasure. We had to work in teams and communicate clearly.

Year 3 - Science - Forces
Today we investigated forces in action at our local playground.
We talked about pushes and pulls, things that made us go faster or slow down, friction, gravity and air resistance...and we had lots of fun!

Year 3 (Class 10) - West Yorkshire Playhouse Trip
Class 10 had a great afternoon at West Yorkshire Playhouse.
We visited each of the three theatres, had a look inside the rehearsal rooms and even had a peek inside the costume department.
We then took part in a fun workshop recreating the story of Macbeth.

Today we used data loggers to test how reflective different materials are.
We used our results to design a book bag that will keep children safe when walking to and from school.

Class 10 have been on a virtual trip to France this week.
After passing through 'security', getting our boarding passes and watching an in-flight safety video, we arrived in Paris! We went on a cruise down the River Seine, stopping at some of the most famous sights Paris has to offer.
