Class 15 enjoyed an extra session with the Leeds Rhinos coach this week.
They played a game of dodgeball that was throughly enjoyed by everyone.

This week was our first lesson about fair-trade.
The children learnt about the Silk Road, and researched different countries and discovered what they would have traded 2000 years ago.

Year 6 (Class 15) - Fun Day After SATs
After all the hard work and long hours preparing for the SATs, we finally had a blast!
From games and creative activities to just hanging out and laughing with friends, it was the perfect way to unwind and celebrate.

Year 6 (Class 15) - History - The Windrush Generation
In history, we researched and created fact files about the Windrush generation, learning about their contributions and challenges.
We then presented our work to the class, helping each other understand this significant chapter in British history through shared learning and discussion.

Year 6 (Class 15) - PSHE - First Aid and Emergency Situations
We learnt vital first aid skills and how to respond in emergency situations.
We practised CPR and the recovery position, and learned how to help someone who is choking. We also explored how to recognise and respond to serious conditions like heart attacks and angina.

Year 6 (Class 15) - Science - Light and Shadow
Class 15 have spent today learning about light and shadow, we drew around our shadows on the playground in the morning then revisited later in the afternoon to investigate the changing shadow and relationship to time.

Class 15 released the tadpoles and a couple of frogs into the nature garden pond today.
Hopefully we will have our own frog spawn next year to watch grow.

Year 6 - P.E - Goalposts
Years 5 and 6 have enjoyed using the new goal posts for the first time.
Children in years 5 and 6 suggested to Mr Needham that it would be good for school to have new goal posts.
Mr Needham thought the same so new goal posts were ordered.

Some children in class 16 have enjoyed feeding the tadpoles.
We have some that have nearly changed into frogs and will soon be moving into the school nature pond where they will hopefully return next year to spawn.

Year 6 (Class 16) - PSHE - First Aid Training
This week, class 16 have been learning all about first aid.
We have learnt the recovery position, how to resuscitate, how to use a defibrillator, and what to do if someone was choking.
Children used equipment and first aid dummies to perform CPR.

Class 14 have used flowers and greenery to make their own nature inspired picture.
