Year 5 (Class 13) - Design Technology - Bridges - Video 1 | St Bartholomew's C of E Primary School

Class 13 finished off their bridges topic with a challenge! 

The children were split into two teams Boys V Girls. The rules were: The pirate ship had to sail under their bridge and it had to be strong enough for the toy truck to drive over.

Both teams did really well and completed a bridge in the time given, however neither team allowed space for the pirate ship to pass under. The bridges were tall enough though. Both bridges were successful in some way at holding the truck.

The winning bridge building team was the girls due to having a nice straight road (the boys was very bumpy). 

The boys won the team work part with their team leader delegating the work to sub team leaders resulting in a much calmer working environment.
