Year 1 (Class 4) - Design Technology - Making Puppets
In DT this half term, class 4 are going to make puppets.
We first learnt how to do the running stitch and overstitch and practised these.
We will use these stitches to fasten our puppets together when we make them.

Class 16 have been practicing their running stitch in DT.
Once they were confident, they made a bookmark from 2 pieces of cloth.

Year 1 (Class 4) - Design Technology - Punch & Judy Show
Class 4 loved watching a Punch and Judy puppet show and then learning all about how puppets work.
They had a go using the puppets and are very excited to make their own puppets later on this term.

Year 2 (Class 7) - Design Technology - Seaside Day
Class 7 completed their design technology as part of seaside day. They used their cutting skills, making a bridge or a claw to cut fruit to make the fruit sculptures and used their spreading skills when making their wraps.

Year 2 (Class 6) - Design Technology - Seaside Day Snacks
Class 6 have started our Seaside Day by making some seaside snacks!
As part of our DT topic, we have designed wraps and fruit sculptures.
We had to use the claw and bridge cut to prepare our fruit and veg.

Class 14 have been showing us their cutting skills today.
We have made a Greek salad today with a dressing of choice.
The children have enjoyed making their food although olives weren’t a favourite in the class.

Class 15 have taken part in their 2nd Greek food lesson.
Today we made Tzatiki and tasted olive oil with lemon and oregano along with some hummus.
The children worked well as a team following the instructions and dividing up the work.
