Service Theme in Action
Service was our theme for worship in the first half term of summer.
These children volunteered their time to help me prepare the attendance certificates and were a big help.
They really showed our service theme in action and reflected the ‘Together’ part of our school vision.

Today we checked on our garlic and onions and it was finally time to harvest.

Year 2 (Class 7) - English - Pirate Day
Class 7 and year 2 really enjoyed pirate day.
They created and decorated hats and eye patches, went on a treasure hunt and shared their pirate riddles.

Today we started our new topic on electricity.
We looked at what electricity is and how it makes a bulb light a circuit.
We began looking at the scientific symbols we use when drawing circuit diagrams. We played a game to help us learn the symbols.

Year 3 (Class 9) - Music - Crotchets & Quavers
Today we learnt about crotchets and quavers.
We learnt about the difference in tempo between the notes when we see them in a piece of music.
We played them in different orders and we identified different pieces of music when we heard the notes played to us.

Class 6 loved Pirate Day!
We made pirate crafts, including hats and eye-patches, wrote and performed pirate riddles, completed a treasure hunt and enjoyed a pirate film!
