In science we are looking at materials.
Today we looked at objects and discussed their materials and why that object is made from that material.

Year 2 (Class 6) - Maths - Numerals as Words
We have been learning how to write numerals as words this week in class 6.
We practiced writing these on whiteboards and in our books.
Some of us played a matching game - matching the word to the correct numeral.

We worked in groups to create our own castles using a variety of materials.
We labelled them using the new vocabulary we have been learning, such as drawbridge, portcullis, arrow loop and gate house.

We have worked hard this week looking at 2 digit numbers, we have used the base ten to create 2 digit numbers.

Children in class 5 have used the vocabulary they have learnt in English to label their own castles.
They have worked together to build different castles and use words such as ‘moat’ ‘draw bridge’ ‘tower’ ‘portcullis’ and ‘gate house’.
