Year 5 (Class 14) - Maths - Common Denominators
Children in class 14 enjoyed the challenge of finding common denominators in order to complete subtraction sums involving fractions.
There was plenty of resilience shown!

Year 5 - Music - Leeds Lieder Choir Workshop
The choir had an amazing workshop with members from Leeds Lieder and then went to a great concert where they sang their own verse of a song which they had written themselves.

Year 5 (Class 12) - English - Story Time
Mr Needham took Class 12 to the library to read them a story (George’s Marvelous Medicine).
He brought with him Grandmas salad and the medicine that George made for her.
The children loved listening to him read and really enjoyed the story.

Year 5 (Class 14) - Music - Happy by Pharrell Williams
Class 14 have been learning the song Happy by Pharrell Williams.
Some children played the glockenspiels to the music and the girls and boys split into different vocal parts, check it out for yourselves and BE HAPPY!

Class 15 were fantastic on the pump track.
They listened to the coach and developed in confidence throughout the session.

They won lots of races but narrowly missed out on first place.

Wednesday 13th November was World Kindness Day to celebrate this class 14 created a kindness paper chain with acts of kindness written on it.
This links perfectly to our school attribute this half-term of compassion.
We decided on red and gold to coordinate with our Christmas decorations…

Last week was Anti-bullying Week and class 14 created a beautiful anti-bullying wreath that displays affirmations to stop bullying.
